Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using GRIEVE (grieve.base44.app), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use this service.

2. Description of Service

GRIEVE provides one service: the 8-day Despair to Hope program, which includes:

• Eight private 1-on-1 mentorship sessions held over eight days (audio by default, video on request)
• A free 30-minute consultation beforehand, with no card required
• Personal journaling tools and session notes
• Feelings Wheel and emotional check-in tools
• Access to the Living in the End module during your program

GRIEVE is a mentorship and peer support service. It is expressly NOT a substitute for professional mental health care, therapy, medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment of any kind.

3. Not Therapy — Important Disclaimer

You explicitly acknowledge and agree that:

• Your Grieve Guide is not a licensed therapist, counsellor, psychologist, psychiatrist, social worker, or any regulated health professional
• Sessions with your Grieve Guide do not constitute therapy, counselling, or any regulated health service
• Content shared on this platform is for general emotional support and mentorship purposes only
• GRIEVE does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any mental health condition, illness, or disorder
• You remain solely responsible for your own mental and physical health decisions
• If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, suicidal thoughts, or require urgent care, you must contact a licensed mental health professional or emergency services immediately

4. User Accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to use GRIEVE
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

5. Payment

• The 8-day program is a one-time fee of $4,000, charged in your local currency where available
• There is no subscription, membership, or recurring billing — you are charged once
• Instalment plans (such as Klarna) may be available at checkout, subject to the provider's approval and terms
• The program is fully refundable within your first 3 sessions, no reason needed — see our Refund Policy
• Prices may change with reasonable advance notice; the price shown at checkout is the price you pay

6. Session Scheduling

• Your eight sessions are scheduled from the start date you choose at checkout
• Sessions are intended to run on consecutive days and can be rescheduled by arrangement
• Sessions are conducted by secure audio call, or video if you prefer
• Sessions repeatedly missed without notice may be counted as held

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any illegal purpose
• Harass, abuse, threaten, or harm others
• Share your account credentials with anyone
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service
• Record sessions without explicit prior consent

8. Assumption of Risk & Release of Liability

By using GRIEVE, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with the use of this service and release GRIEVE and its operator from any and all liability, claims, demands, or damages of any kind, including but not limited to:

• Emotional distress or psychological harm
• Decisions made based on guidance received during sessions or via BreakupAI
• Harm arising from failure to seek or delay in seeking professional mental health care
• Any reliance on content, notes, or advice provided through the platform

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• GRIEVE, its operator, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• This includes but is not limited to: emotional harm, mental health deterioration, personal injury, or loss of any kind arising from use or inability to use the service
• We are not liable for harm resulting from reliance on any guidance, suggestion, or information provided through the platform
• Our total liability, if any, shall not exceed the total amount paid by you in the 30 days preceding the claim

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability exclusions. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

10. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and branding of GRIEVE are owned by the operator. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any content without written permission.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms, abusive behavior toward the Grieve Guide, or any other reason at our sole discretion.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Alberta, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Alberta.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
